Renegade works fine with windows 7, just make sure to run it in admin mode and xp compatibility mode.

If you run into any problems, read the FAQ first before you post it.

the weird thing about the situation is that Rene opens the first loading screen but before the screen resolution changes and goes to a full screen mode the cd stops spinning and it drops out of the "processes" under windows task manger and nothing ever happens

If it drops out of the processes list, that means that Renegade is no longer running.
Go to the game.exe file, and turn on compatibility mode, then have it set for XP.

I dont see why he needs to run it in XP when i, who also got Win7 dont need it? But also 64bit
