hi,
im having the same problem, and after applying that patch im no longer locked at the start screen waiting for others to join where I get gameplay pending 10 sec later, but instead it let me run around for 10 sec, then server restart...

all I did was install ren (win32) v1037 fds (tried several install files, all with same problem),
GSA "CD Authentication Failed" Fix
and finally the
No "gameplay pending" fix.

just want basic server up and running.. any idea what else I can try? its still "gameplay pending" (but now because the server crash/restart..)

_except.txt get around 50kb size, many long lines of code..
heres the top:

Error code: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION

Description: The thread tried to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access.
Access address:00000003 was written to.
Exception occurred at 004E2198

I run the renegade server on Windows Server 2003 (SP2) as Administrator.
