I just go nvidia gforce 9600gt
so renegade started nice with lots of fps
but I turned on all options in bhs.dll (shadrer,vsycne,high def shaders, and ect) sorry for spelling. now I start ren, i hear the start up sound but see black screen then it closes with no error message or anything

regedit -> hkey local machine -> software -> westwood -> renegade and turn the options off one by one to find out which one is causing the trouble. Also, did you install directx9.0c?
