okay, I JUST installed this, and well, RIGHT away, whe nI went to try it.. those screens popped up.. new computer, new game, and wtf.. it WONT WORK

Renegade isn't new, it's 7 years old. (This is kinda the source of the problem)

Try installing Renegade under "admin mode". Try running Renegade in "admin mode".

If not, there's a tool somewhere for fixing this, I'll try and find it.

How do you get to admin mode? I just got this pc last weekend, and I'm new to vista, I had an XP... and this one came with Vista so..

Right click the exe and you should see "Run as administrator".
