rengaurd causes my game to go black [message #375344]

as the title says, my game goes black. I run rengaurd, and the entire game is back, i can't see anything, i can hear it, but not see.

Are you sure it's RenGuard? Run game2.exe and see if it's any different.

I dont have Renguard and this started happining to me before. Unless your completly certain it's Renguard thats doing it, the only way i know how to fix it is reinstall renegade Huh

No, do what was said before: reinstall scripts 3.4.4.

strange, maby it was the computer, but after renguard was installed, i ran both renegade.exe and renegade2.exe (i think, but it was the original and the one with renguard) both where black. When i uninstalled though, they worked fine, did not reboot my computer from test-to-uninstall\test2. I'll try it on this computer (check IP address, i was somewhere else) soon, and post if same problem happens.

For the 5000th time:

If you had scripts 3.4.4 installed (Which if you followed the installation guide found here then you did) then:

If you install Renguard, the default settings lead to you installing Core Patch 2.

Core Patch 2 installs an old version of scripts (something like 2.7)

These do not support the newer DirectX9 rendering system that the 3.X series does. This causes an incompatability that results in your screen being black. This is remedied by:

REINSTALLING SCRIPTS 3.4.4

I hope that was clear.
