Thanks to you, Renegade X has now officially won 3rd place in Mod DB's contest, in the 'Upcoming Mods' category. We could not have done this without your help - thanks for all of your votes, and hard work of getting others to vote for Renegade X. Hopefully, with this boost of attention, we will be able to get the final stages of the mod development to you faster. This is the best birthday present C&C Renegade has ever had.

Every so often, I get this positive feeling that humanity can somehow, possibly attain pure awesomeness, and enlightenment, and that there is light at the end of the road for us all. However, I only need to go to the latest HUD thread at RenForums to remind me of how dumb I was for thinking such stupid things.

i think they must at least get 2  (neotokyo looked cool too  ) but dead before dawn didn't inspire me at all..

I totally agree. Dead Before Dawn might add some longevity to l4d, but it's not a new game made out of another one, and will last only a few months like the original l4d. Neotokyo looks cool but not as cool a real new concept...to me looks like the usual deathmatch game.
Although RenegadeX is more a port than a new game, it still uses the Unreal3 engine in a new way, with totally new graphics and scripts. And the original, buggy and broken game lasted years and still lives, so this project could really win #1 place if only people who voted knew Renegade.
Still, with a potentially smaller voters base, it won 3rd place, and that's amazing. And RenegadeX is amazing too!
Great job Totem Arts, and congratulations!

(Slightly off topic mini-bump)
I notice UT3 Black is discounted on Steam this week, is that the right version to play this mod when it comes out? I will consider buying it if so...
EDIT: I must be blind, I could have sworn this was the only RenX topic on the first page of General Discussion, but it turns out there's another sitting just two (at time of edit) topics below this one! Bleh.... too late to move it now
