How do i run rene while having the server up on my comp?

http://www.blackintel.org/?page=downloads
Go down to "BlackIntel Server.dat" and download it then place that server.dat into your Renegade Server folder, not data(it should ask you if you want to replace it: say yes).

Now it should allow you to launch/play Renegade while you have the server open.

I can not find the BlackIntel Server.dat file to download. I am having the same problem where I can not get into renegade while fds is running

I suppose you raen't running a dedicated server? Add "+multi" in the command line (open shortcut, edit "blablabla/renegade.exe" to "blablabla/renegade.exe + multi").

OK I think I got it where it will load renegade but when I go in to the server list it doesn't show server and it reboots the fds?

Are you logging into XWIS with the same nickname you're using for your FDS? That will boot your FDS offline.

lol i didn't see your post yeah that was it. but I want to play as host how do I do that? Next to get brenbot working. I downloaded mirc and its not working.

easiest way is to start renegade then start your fds
