I mean if that's what you like, then by all means go for it. As for me, I like to occupy my time with things that are important.

In germany we pay more then the half of our income to the government. But we get quite a few things back.
Its sometimes really depressive how people do things without thinking. Yes YOU ALONE will not change anything. But there are enough smartheads out there who think "lolz save money. luv money."

My economy is failing because the government spends TOO MUCH because my government is way too fucking big.
As large as my government is, America still have more freedom than most countries, like the UK and Russia, and ESPECIALLY more than China and NK. However, it's not significantly more. If we reverted the size of my government to the way my founding fathers intended, there'd be no doubt that we're a freer country.

And.. uhh.. no, I don't see your country more "freer" then the UK, France, Germany.. ok Germany are fucked with video games but you get my drift.
So the US made it legal to own a gun, big whoop, that's about it.
Your media is still censored to a certain degree, But I don't think I have to point that out.
Presence is a curious thing, if you think you need to prove it... you probably never had it in the first place.

Speaking out against Islam? Link me to the news article, unless they were being racist or discriminative, I can side with you, But I generally dislike racist people so no sweat for me.
As for taxes, that's the price you pay for living in a privileged country, Free education, Dole if you're down on luck, council houses, child support, Once you live here, food & cloth is relatively cheap, But I live in Liverpool so it's always been cheap here.. but we're now capitalizing on the Capital of Bullshit 2008 so prices have gone up due to Tourists. 
the UK isn't as bad as you're trying to make it out, try living here, I guess you could say the same for me, eh?

if I am in america and yelling around "Osama bin Laden is the best guy ever" and "fuck WTC" I guess your authorities let me visit a nice camp in cuba afterwards...
Oh and just about freedom. Your airportpersonal is quite unfriendly. I've got a longer discussion with them... Cause they wanted to have a closer look to my notebook.
2 hours just for getting out of airport. Pfff
Oh and there is no freedom. As soon as you are free, others who are also tfree will cut your freedom.
And if you cut everyones freedom you should be carefull not cutting to much.

I know of some Brits that came to America, first hated it, but then realized that America > England. 'nuff said.
I hate my government. I hate the state that it is in. We care too much about national safety when it'd be easy enough to be safe within our borders if we stopped pointless wars in the Middle East. I don't receive welfare, social security, so I should not have to be paying for that, at all. I don't benefit from Homeland Security, regardless of what Bush tries to say. Even if I did, I don't want the service, and I certainly don't want to pay for it.
If others benefit from me paying taxes like tax on gasoline, fine. I really don't care. However, I shouldn't be paying for services I don't receive. Period.

Basically, When I start paying taxes I'll be happy I'm helping my fellow country men/women. I'm in no way patriotic, but when they get a job and I receive some of their money when I'm down on my luck for work, it's a win win situation, However, I don't agree giving drug addicts my money to feed their habit, or others that piss their money on alcohol, I'd rather they shape up and get a job, or get an education then try and get a job, at least they're trying to which I'll be happy about.
However, I don't agree with everything being taxed, Certain stuff is overtaxed here, I'll admit it, I don't buy stuff that costs £300 @ RRP, because then I'll have to pay extra on tax, so I guess thinking about what you're buying saves you dosh.
You'll be paying for services that you'll benefit from in soon time, And if not, your family might, children (If you somehow end up with them in later time), etc.
But.. I have to ask, How does tax come into the factor of "Being free" ?
Besides, if you truly want to be "free", Learn to control all your emotions, then when you're not emotionally motivated, that's when you'll truly be free, but that's just philosophy, so you don't have to agree with that.

Perhaps it's wrong to associate "freedom" with "liberty". However, when I do say "free" I mean having all of my liberties that aren't needed to give up for society to continue.
I have no problem with giving up money to help the less fortunate. In fact, I think it's our duty as moral agents to help those in need. That doesn't mean the government needs to deem a portion of my wages (which are NOT profit) to be strictly for them. That's my choice how little or much I want to give. Not to mention that the government always does a piss poor job of managing taxpayer money. Wouldn't you rather see a trustworthy organization helping those that are worthy of the help rather than a wasteful government throwing money at everybody without a job, regardless of how unworthy they are of the handouts?
Private organizations and the collective of people working together are a lot more efficient than a big government. Sure, you can rattle off all of the services that are provided by your government, but there's also a lot of waste in there, and it's not just "oh well", that's somebody's money, hell, if you have a job, it's YOUR money being wasted.
Yes, I know, money isn't that important. Other people are more important than money, but it's still the money that I traded my labor for. Again, if I want to help the poor so bad, I'll donate my money and my time on my own accord and not at the demand of my government.
