Quote:

Is there anything that a set of LEGO bricks can't create? In the last few months, we've seen a Camaro and a Mustang both built with nothing that wasn't manufactured by the LEGO corporation, and each of those creations featured a V8 engine and working transmission. While the entire process must be insanely difficult and time-consuming, it's the engine that truly separates these from mere toys. If an engine is really nothing more than an air pump, as some like to say, then here is a working V8 engine made entirely from LEGO parts. Following the build, it's easy to see how many transformations that this engine has gone through before the current pushrod version, which operates pretty well at an indicated 1,780 revolutions per minute. This is a fitting engine design, considering that it's slated to get dropped into a Dodge Challenger replica.

Video of the engine in action!

I should get all my legos out again, deconstruct everything I've got constructed (goodbye entire Star Wars fleet) and make something uber.

I've always used "Lego" as a plural world like Sheep, "The house was made out of Lego" and not "Legos". However "Lego" is technically an adjective to describe the brand of bricks, so we should all be saying "the house was made out of Lego bricks"

That's pretty damn sweet. I can't wait to see the car it's meant to be mounted in. Very Happy

I once got about half-way through building a 5' long model of a starship of my own design (it would have been 1ft=1km scale), then realized I had nowhere to put the thing and stopped.

Remember, kids: illiteracy is cool. If you took the time to read this, you are clearly a loser who will never get laid. You've been warned.

Oh, and why would I be the one who's crying? I'm not the one who overreacted about a fucking movie quote.

It would be interesting to see how fuel efficient a lego car could be. I think lego cars could give some protection in collisions, as they'd just break away, and thus lessen the impact.

I don't think you could ever "total" the car, anyway. Any part you destroy, you could just rebuild. It would take away the need for body shops, as you could do it yourself, or let your kid do it.

At least I think it was Denmark.

Well, humans are made out of proteins, water, and depending on how much you play renegade, fat. Self replicating, but still made.
