i heard it lowers ur fps and lags u more.....

As does having any other application open while playing. I've found that disabling the RenGuard sounds softens the blow though.

I do that anyway, they're always really loud (compared to my other volume settings, and my ears get blown off if I'm using a headset Sad

)

Other than that, no it doesn't screw up your comp. You could probably do more damage running IE6.

Renguard is a wonderful initiative
