Listen up all you Plecos-Posters. We (the moderators and most of the forum-goers) are sick of seeing you poop all over every post that is made.
Crimson tried giving you a spam forum, in hopes that you would go there to post your "funny" pictures and leave it out of the rest of the forum, but apparently your goal is not to share funny pictures, but rather to ruin conversations in the other forum sections.
Thus this is malicious and willing disregard of the forum rules and so I'm stepping in. You cannot say you had no warning as I have posted several warnings and locked several threads. Seriously, I am fairly surprised that you guys even spam the Hot Topics forum, the one place where people are expecting halfway intelligent conversation. Crimson, I, and the moderators are tired of having to warn, move, and delete pictures of plecos, llamas, and such every 4 hours from the forums.
That being said, since you subtle warnings are obviously not enough, the first people that are currently banned are:
Canadacdn: 1 day [Edit: He thought he would be a smartass and PM me plecos pics...extending ban to 1 week. Have a nice day.]
RenX: 1 day
I will increase the ban time depending on the amount of spam and previous bannings or warnings. You are still free to spam in the Spam section of the forums (note that it will be periodically wiped so doesnt count towards postcount).
Note: I'm not saying nobody can ever post an image. I think we all, in our collective common sense, know exactly what is spamming and what is not. To clarify, if you are talking about race cars and want to post an image of your car, that's fine. If people are talking about how religion has touched their lives and you post an 8MB picture of a damn fish, that is spam and you know it.
This "policy" is not set in stone. If you don't like it, take it up with Crimson, but I doubt she is going to say "Oh sure splatter the forums with Plecos's"

In my most humble opinion, I think the bans are a little bit overreacting. The pictures had a purpose that they served for a while. Then the rest of the forum caught on and basically stole the whole thing from Canadacdn. That's why you've got the spam of it.
People see something even remotely unrelated and pick up on the opportunity to make some giggles and posts it.
tl;dr it used to be good, but faggots ruined it.
Edit: Upon reading your edit, it seems like Canadacdn feels a little the same way.

Whoa whoa, I'm just saying, it wasn't all those two. Pretty much half the forum contributed a little. I see it's a problem, I'm just a little suprised.
