Now I see why people call it 'Faux News' .

Why is Fox News bothering to focus on old beer fridges, while China builds a new coal-fired power generation facility at an average of every three days?

Stupid.

Not to mention that there already are old fridge collection programs in place in Canada (around Toronto anyway--always saw the ads for them on the GO Train).

It's one of the most ridiculous articles I've ever read. I just figured I'd prod the Mackenzie brothers from their slumber, eh?

The problem is that the beer fridges are mostly decades-old machines that began their second careers as beverage dispensers when Canadians upgraded to more energy-efficient models to store whatever Canadians eat besides doughnuts and poutine.

I'm having a hard time believing this isn't a joke story of some kind. I mean, that's not how you phrase ANY piece of serious journalism.

Fox News may have written a poor summary and editorial on this article, but the original source is from a real scientific journal. There was a link at the end of the Fox News article which linked to someone else's article here, and that article links to a citation of the journal article itself here.

We like our old beer-fridges.

We deserve to crack open a brew or two, after spending a day pumping oil in the sands so Americans can drive their SUV's.

Bunch of morons. I doubt any of them has ever worked on a car before. One car puts out more heat in an hour of idling then 10 000 beer fridges do in the same time.

This article seems more of a joke than anything, but I read this stereotype and it made me angry:

FOX News wrote

When we invade canada, this will stop.

It's very clear we need to upgrade your fridges so you can store 20% more beer and have room for costco and superwalmart sized food storage.

We will also be trying to broker a peace agreement between Nova Scotia and the Quebecois insurgency. That is if we can keep the Iranians outof it and stop cross border incusions ith weapons.

After we clean up Canada, Mexico will need some work done, but we need to nuke venezuela first.

No one should mention Bryan Adams either. Our government has apologized for Bryan Adams on several occasions already.
