I've had this problem before, but before it fixed itself after a while. This is the third day in a row with this problem. Essentially, I bring up RenIP, load everything, and click connect. Renguard comes up and says: "Trying to connect to server 1...Failed. Trying to connect to server 2...Failed" And so on. Only the quit option is available. When I click quit, and try to connect again, Renguard does not come up. I tried restarting the computer, I made sure my firewall was excepting it, I even turned my firewall off, but to no avail. Help?

Gah, normally it's a firewall causing this. Are you using a hardware firewall in a router or something like that?

Or Windows firewall maybe. Or maybe RG is acting up as it has been for a lot of people lately Sad...

yea I have noticed that too, yesterday I try and join a bunch of servers and just get kicked with no error message from rg(not quite sure if that is actually rg though) and of course getting the "unauthorized instance" thing like everyone does I'm sure

that simply could happen if you already have it started make sure it is not active in the task bar and also make sure it is not running in the processes tab(in task manager) RG is game.exe I think?

The only firewall I have running is Windows firewall. Some people suggested turning off my firewall, but do I need to restart my computer after turning it off?

I've figured out how to get it back up, just close one of the game.exe's that's taking up the most space. In fact, when I used to have this problem, if I would just close that game.exe in the windows task manager, then renguard would work fine, but not now... Huh

turning it off does not require a restart

Unplug the power cables for the router and/or modem and wait a minute until plugging them back in.
That is if you use one of them.

That will not help him ...
