Help with renguard/renegade [message #290482]

Recruit

I recently bought renegade for the second time and have been trying to install patch_1037 but it tells me "old file not found.However, a file of the same name was found. No update done since file contents do not match." I also have been trying to use renguard but when it prompts the installation of the core patch it tells me i am missing a script and i just tried to start renegade up by clicking the icon and it says something about "game.exe" not working(its posted in the picture below along with the other error message"

any help would be great. thanks

ps. i try and open the game in game2 in the renegade folder, but i cant get online because the patch wont download

Recruit

all i can say is uninstall rg & renegade. Then
- install renegade
- apply patch 1.037
- install rg
- apply cp update (if it's not doing so auto)

in that order

no point in trying to fix this as it is and going mental over it (can happen in the procces)

I think this is teh same problem.

There doesn't seem to be a known solution other than reinstalling. Maybe you can ask someone else who has a working renegade to send you his bandtest.dll, though.
