I haven't played online in 4 months.

i though id play today cus of Forth of July.
so i click in as usaule. and it says Requesting server list....

two mins later, Operation Timed out. Tryed again

same thing.. Any idea what the Fuck is going on? Mad

That's exactly what happened to me. So then I tryed to re-install. I guess my CD has a scratch on it for the Game 1 pack. I've got to wait acouple of days for my special CD SomeRhino is sending me so I can install it again. Try reinstalling. But only if you disk isn't scratched Smile .

I had that problem a while back, YSL Muffins i think told me to Delete the Host files or something like that.

I think it was .HOSTS or .HOST

Hope you can get it working again.

That's almost right....

If you installed RenEvo anytime, you might have trouble getting on if the ServServ is down.

Just open up c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts in notepad. Put a # sign in front of the line for servserv.westwood.com. Then you'll use the EA servers instead of RenEvo and you might be able to get in.

What about regedit and auto name login into RE USA or RE Euro
Start>Run>Regedit>LocalMachine>Software>Westwood>Renegade>WOLSettings>Logins> then go to one of your names and server should be USA Server or w/e your main server is.

Deleting that HOSTS file cleared up the problem for me. I've been using GSA for the past month or so.

Why delete? You can just move it out of the renegade folder so if you need it laterr it's no prob.
