When it rains it pours it seems. I didnt have broad band for a year, so I finally get back on it and am playing the hell out of renegade (among other games) and what should happen but my motherboard dies. (3 capacitors went at once not a good sign) And now I'm looking for a new one, so I'm asking for suggestions on what to get. Right now ive got my eye on this one

anybody have this board or have any experience with chaintech boards? Any help would be very much appreciated. Wink

Hmmm thanks for the tips I'll look into em, the reason I like the chaintech so much is it comes with a lot of nifty extras like rounded ide cables and whatnot always a plus. Smile

ASUS A7N8X-Deluxe

It may not have rounded ide cables (big woop), but it's very stable, and absolutely fucking fast.

My system down there in my sig got a baseline 5469 3DMark03 @ 1024x768 @ 4xFSAA/AF, no tweaking whatsoever.

Newegg ownz0rz my b0xx0rz. Shocked

I've spent quite some time looking at this and other boards, and here are some links that might be useful for anyone looking at nForce2 based boards:

nForcersHQ, an excellent list of reviews. Within this forum are motherboard specific areas too, which are extremely helpful.

Rebels Haven A relatively new but useful forum for comments from owners.

AMDmb.com Another forum with lots of information.

Of the three, I found nForcersHQ to be the best and most informative. I'd already narrowed my choice down to the 1) Gigabyte GA-7NNXP board, but will wait a while longer because it's one of the newest (i.e. Rev 1.0) boards out there. 2) Asus A7N8X-Deluxe, which has almost everything I want, and to it's advantage has been out for a while and has a Rev 2.0.

Good hunting.

P.S. When in doubt, Google!

Thanks for the list of sites. You should also check out this one, I've found it to be pretty helpful.
