Renegade wont load anymore.... [message #24828]

Recruit

Well, i've installed it all fine, and this used to work perfectly fine on my pc before. Anyway, when i click the Renegade icon on the desktop, a windows error comes up, saying "renegade has encountered a problem, and has to be closed"

my pc specs are
512mb ram
660mhz pentium 3
geforce 4 mx 420
512k cable modem
Windows XP Pro

Please help me, and thanks for replys in advance

Well have you installed any modifications lately?

Sometimes those make the game fail to start. I can only say you should reinstall it and be more carefull with what you put into your game from now on

Nope, i havent had this game installed for quite a long while now and before that it worked fine (and i didnt install any new patches or skins etc...)

Well, what i have found works is...

Downloading the 1.7 (or whatever) patch and installing it. This then makes renegade work, but then when i log off my area and come back on and try to load renegade, the same error comes up (and if i try to reinstall the patch, an error comes up making me have to download it again)

I have also tried reinstalling it multiple times Sad
