hi all,
finally i found the solution,
to the rengaurd hangs(blankscreen) problem.
I use a speedtouch modem,
and i did the following.
(So only for speedtouch users)
open your browser and type: ,
http://YOUR-GATEWAY
(NOTE:dont know your gateway,run Command-prompt and type "ipconfig")
after typing http://YOUR-GATEWAY,
u should be in your speedtouch control panel,
if not , Then try http://your-username or your NetWork-IP
in the menu on the left select Speedtouch,
then Configuration also at the left menu,
then click configure in the top right corner.
next find the option "Web Browsing Interception:"
disable this, and press apply
FINISHED....
worked for me!
I hope this helps others too,

Well GREAT news for us Speedtouch users. This FIX works!
I knew it had to be an error with our dumb modem/router combos. This is something dumb yet simple.

Hi pal,
hope this helps.
oh and if none of the options works from the first post,
then try 192.168.1.254 or 192.168.1.1 .
and "Web Browsing Interception" is still a mystery,
its not in the manual or help guide!
it seems to be related to parental contol,
but as 0x90 said "it´s only affecting renguard"
very strange indeed

Right...I know what that is.
I have noticed that ever since living here with this new modem I get these pages that are from the router telling me the page is down, blah blah blah. Normally you just get the "The page cannot be displayed error" if you are using IE.
So this simple function screws up RG...wow

Doesn't work for me.Any other suggestions? Other than reinstall renegade and feed renguard to the dogs that is.
