It's now twice as deep.

The pictures don't do it justice. It's probably nothing to some of you but we hardly ever get snow. It's a fantastic sight.

We didn't have much snow until about a month ago when it decided that it really wanted to come down. :\

Seems years since we had proper snow... if you want drizzle and slush, you're fine of course...

There's never been a snowday here in 14 years. Huh

That was earlier. It's twice as thick, if not more.

My dad has had to stay in a hotel overnight. It took him an hour to go 7 miles.

My sister couldn't even drive back into our village so she's stayed over at a friend's house.

It's not minor.

[Begin rant]
To those ignorant people on about canadians:

We dont carry tire chains, or snow shovels on us at all times.
Thats just stupid. No one even puts them on.
They're called, SNOW tires. And a normal shovel works just fine.
We're not all woodworkers, in fact, I think thats just plain rude to assume that all we do up here is lumberjack.
We do have something called SUMMERS where I'll guarantee it gets ALMOST as hot as Nevada somedays.

Dont beleive me?
We can sometimes get to 44 C with the Humidex Factor.
Nevada is desert....so dry heat....they are above 100 F yes..
Sometimes they get to 110.
But 44 is like 122 if I'm not mistaken.

And Snow around here lately is uncommon.
The last three winters have been shit, barely any snow. And the day that it did come, it was insignificant, and melted within a week.
Another thing: Did you know lower BC and Vancouver Island RARELY see a significant snowfall?
Toronto/Lower Ontario gets bad snowstorms, yes, but thats only once every few years nowaday.
Ice storms, are a different story Ottawa and Kingston get bad snowstorms.
Dont think that just because we are "northerners" That we dont have a life. And see nothing but snow.
Within a month or two the snow will be gone, then here comes the green grass and tons of rain.

[/rant]

Dont start a flame war with me. Im not up for it.
Im not meaning to put anyone down, it just bothers me when people have no fucking clue what goes on up here.

Liverpool had a nice sight of snow, When Mero came online I'm like "Looked out your window? :D:D!" Same for gamemodding. Razz

Tho, For some reason when it snows all the local ass-hats get up to no good, they fucking took the back window wiper of my brothers new car. :bastards:

I like snow for the sight and plus we hardly get it, But it causes to much trouble.

Presence is a curious thing, if you think you need to prove it... you probably never had it in the first place.

Ya, us canadians know our snow. I have to walk thro a good 30cm thro it just to get out of my garage. Suthern Ontaria got so much, as a result of that happened in nothern NY state, where they got 9 feet (in some area's,according to cnn)Tell Me

That still isn't much snow at all compared to many other places.

To put this situation into perspective... The first and only snowbank I've gotten stuck in this year was 2 feet high and 10 metres long. The last 2 feet believe it or not was what got me because right at the end it went up another foot so I was going through 3 feet of snow. 20 mins later I was out and levelling more snowbanks throughout the streets.

Oh ya, that was with a dodge caravan... You guys get snowdays over 2-3 inches... WOW Big Grin

I might take a short drive to the place where I had gotten stuck. The graders have come through now. The snowbanks on each side of the road are well over 2m tall. They've already come through once this year with the large snowblowers and blown the snow into large gravel trucks to be hauled away.
