ok, well i just came back from not playing renegade for a couple months, and i got on a server and says a had Old version of renguard, it would still let me play, but i was considered a person wITHOUT rengaurd and people WOULD acuse me of cheating.

I tried downloading reguard again a few days later after this incident. and I get "Game2.exe already exists in C:\Program files\EA games\Command & Conquer The First Decade\Command & Conquer Renegade(tm)\Renegade . Cannot install

I then, deleted all my renguard files INCLUDING GAME2. It goes to recyclin bin, and i empty it. and its gone. i try to install again and DOESNT Work. I try it a few more times and still does not work!

Does Anyone know the problem??
PLEASE HELPP!

Game2.exe. is.. err... was the original game.exe that Renegade uses. Renguard renames it and puts in its own Game.exe so that Renguard starts up when you try to run it.

All you can do now is hope someone passes along a copy of their original game.exe, or reinstall.

Because you didn't use renguards uninstall program there will still be registry values which say renguard is installed. You will have to manually remove them from the registry before you can reinstall renguard. This is why programs come with uninstallers!

Well, start with uninstalling Renegade and reinstalling it in a different directory. But first read this: http://www.renegadeforums.com/index.php?t=msg&th=19350&start=0&rid=4 882

Then reinstall Renguard.

You can find me in The KOSs2 (TK2) discord while I'm playing. Feel free to come and say hi! TK2 discord

The uninstaller won't run properly now that you have deleted the files unfortunately. Try the link gozy gave and see if that's any help, otherwise it might be time to roll out the big guns (AKA regedit).
