Just curious...

What music do you use in Renegade as the background music?

...Or, do you use the default?

Here's a stream of mine. It's from the credits of .hack//INFECTION. Mr. Green

For those who don't know, you can take an mp3 file, name it 'menu' and send it to your Renegade Data directory to change the menu music.

To be honest, I like the default. I really like it's techno-loop and lots of mechanical noises, especially that 4-note de-arpeggio.

I even have the menu music on my playlist Blush

Heheh, agreed.

Oh, and I know of a site where you can stream/download all of Rengade's music, but I would need Crim, Blazer, or Warranto's OK before posting it. Most forum owners look down on that sort of thing.

Meh. I just got bored, I guess. I'll think about removing it later.

I just mute the music and listen to iTunes in the back. Nothing like "Disposable Heroes" when you're laying waste to anything and everything.

I listened to Hell Marches 1 and 2 from Red Alert in the background during Hourglass. Not bad. Big Ups

I run winamp in the background playing various battle tracks from C&C and some of the more active techno from System Shock 2. That's pretty much the rule for any game unless it consumes so much CPU time that it just isn't possible to run winamp and get a decent framerate.

I did get Hell March 2, but haven't been able to find a decent version of the original. There's one, but it sounds kinda gritty and crappy.

I'm betting the gritty one is the ytmnd.com version at http://redalert.ytmnd.com right? Well, thanks to dogpile audio search, I found a nice 14.7 MB 320Kbit mp3 for you: http://cnxstudios.com/01%20-%20Hell%20March.mp3

Just use XCC to rip it from Red Alert. If you dont have the discs then use a p2p downloader like limewire.

Well, if you guys are going to post mp3 sites, I might as well.

Please note, this site was made exclusively for anime music, then videogame music, and nothing else. However, if you look under Guitar Hero, there's stuff like Ozzy.

Also, to download the actual song, you'll need to get to the link that says "to begin downoading this file, 'click here.'" Don't click it. Rather, right-click and select "save target as."

You can use the songs in your MySpace blog, too. Just hit the "click here" link, copy the url in your address bar, and paste it into the music url bar in your blog settings. The songs tend to be more choppy when you do that, though. Especially the video-game ones. You may want to preview it first.

Well, hope this was useful to someone. This is where I got all of my CnC music from.

No, I actually didn't even know much about ytmnd when I got my version. I think I found it on Google while searching for HM2. But I'll take a look at that one. Thanks for the link.
