Couldn't agree more with Venom and Coolrock. Sure I didn't do much for Reborn, back in the days that I was helping out, but I was there chatting with Renardin on MSN, while he spent late hours night after night grinding his French butt (no offense intended, just wanted to emphasize that part XD) on some perhaps, not top-notch textures, but at least hard-worked and respectable textures.

I was there, watching him constantly pushing all of his team members to work faster, and tell us all how much the community wants the mod out, and so on.

This is why I have a lot of respect for Renaud (for those who questioned my earlier comments), and it's gonna stay that way. At least Renardin as a leader or texture artist, stuck by Reborn since it became active again, unlike its past leaders such as DarkOmen and Angel of Dawn.

So give the guy a break and try to remember all of the positive effects he's had on the community, instead of focusing on the bad ones. Smile

Hm, does this mean there is finally peace?

So you know, Ren, someone in irc said "Renardin committed suicide" and Aircraftkiller said "He did? If he really did, that's not a joking matter. I don't hate anyone contrary to what people believe."

=)

Couldn't agree more Axel. I've grown tired of this, I really want to see this mod get released. Everyone should give everybody a second chance, just like I am now. Let's all drop this stupid fight and try to be more friendly toward one another. What do you guys say?

I can comfirm what Venompawz quoted. I was there aswell.

This is great start, i like the way things are heading at the moment. I really want to see all Renegade mods released. And with the decade of c&c release just around the corner, we will be lucky to already have mods, software, extras and alot more to offer to the new people to our community.
cheers everyone! Very Happy

Fun fact. In the event Reborn finally kicked the bucket, my plan was to simply... start a TS mod. Organize it, set some goals, find the resources, get things moving. I tried to organize thoughts, get some goals set up, find out who was doing what, who was really leading, etc etc and that kind of thing each time when I was on the beta team for them actually.

so to sum up the big thing:

I do my official apologize to AK, CJ, Venom, SK well, all Renalert people or fan or other people I offended.

Let's have a nice community and I am ready to forget the whole past and even help renalert with textures if they want to but knowing I keep priority for Reborn tasks.

(notice I said 'ak' and not 'ack', and 'texture' not 'skin'. ha ha)

And please next time I have problems with my english, just show me the right way to say it and so I will be able to speak it better.

Ok, now for everyone to gather round and sing along!

Kumbya my Lord, kumbya.... Big Grin

Good to see peace has settled amongst perhaps the two largest modification communities.

I feel kinda bad for Renardin. I mean, if I textured that much stuff and suddenly people said they should fire me, my artistic abilities suck, and that I could be replaced by anyone I would be pretty offended and wouldn't feel welcome in the community at all. Hell, just texturing one thing and having people act that way would make me feel horrible.

Yeah, yeah. I know what he did. But I'm just looking at this from an artist's perspective for a moment.

I don't necessarily believe that his talent is in question. It's his leadership abilities and the reputation he's earned. I think the main issue is though how much he DID help Reborn, he's "past his prime" and cannot take the team to where it needs to be. At least, that's what some would argue.

I agree that it would hurt to be kicked off after doing so much; however, it's not about his artistic abilities. If he would choose to believe that his talent is the thing in question, that would be his fault.

With that said, I just wanted to try and maybe clear up a little misunderstanding in Hydra's post, that is if I didn't misunderstand it myself. I'm very much so willing to bury the hatchet, but I will agree with Hydra in the sense that I TRULY do not believe Renardin has the ability to take the mod to the final stages as a leader. If he does stay in the back seat and stop trying to manipulate things (as we've seen from the past few days), I believe he could be very beneficial to the finishing of Reborn, and I do think that they could produce a high quality mod with little to no bugs.

Please check out the Mod forum to discuss any possible re-arrangement. I'd prefer it to be discussed among those who frequent there.

Out of curiosity, what exactly did you do anyways?

Also I was there in IRC as well and I can verify what Venom posted.

Whatever happened to the Chronowar assets? They had some great looking stuff & I'd love to have a Renegade conversion for every C&C game.

Thank you coolrock.

Hydra, try to get to know me better and accept my apologizes of the past. I really want a good community. I make a step for it, make yours.

Smile

(my apologize go to all the people I offended in the past, even AK.)

I appreciate your change of attitude and hope you'll stay like this.

Apologies for previous insults and such.
