Hey guys!

My brother came home with the original Red Alert CDs, and both our Aftermath disks last night, figuring we could get a network game happening.

I wasn't able to get the network stuff working till I saw the other post regarding CounterStrike -- So now I got it all working!

However, I'd love to be able to get it up to play in Windowed Mode. It runs at like 800 x 600, which looks terrible on my LCD, which is set up to run at 1280 x 1024, lol

I tried making a shortcut, and putting -window at the end, but that had no effect.

Any suggestions?

Russ

Seems to me that it wouldnt work for Dos over 95, because DOS didnt have a windows to be used.

I thought Red Alert ran in 640x480?

Hold the shift button when you put the CD in so it doesn't bring up the auto-launch window. Launch the game by going to: Programs->Westwood->Red Alert with Aftermath->Red Alert DOS Version

Alt+Tab back to the desktop. Right click on it's button/icon in the taskbar, click properties, go to the "Screen" tab, and select "Window" at the top. Click OK.

It might look weird (it did on mine) since Red Alert uses a different color palette then Windows.
