He resigned after admitting guilty to bribery before he was even investigated by the House Ethics Committee.
It feels good to know that we have House Congressmen willing to sell themselves to companies in exchange for defense contracts.

Cunningham had already said he would not seek re-election in 2006. He will be sentenced on February 27 when he faces up to 10 years in prison.

Bribes don't have to be in the traditional form either,
Tax cuts, "prosperity cheques", Rebates, etc. All work towards creating the illusion that the government is a good one, so why not keep them in power?
