are there any plans to intergrate the xwisc exe into RG - since they have the hostin of the servers - that way us n00b's dont have to start xwisc and then start renegade - that way it will be one easy movement ---- click renegade , RG starts , xwisc starts , renegade starts

would be nice

When XWIS takes over, there will be no need for XWISC. Thus, there will be no need for XWISC to be integrated into RenGuard.

Yeah what he says, bassicly if you would open C:/.../hosts
you could change it manually. It's just a easy program to make it more easy for the other people.
Once the redirection is complete you won't need any of these.

What he means to say is, EA is going to change the DNS entries for the current WOL servers to point to XWIS servers. So that anyone without the tool, when they connect to "WOL", they will automagically connect to the XWIS servers instead, so the tool will no longer be needed. This should happen fairly soon (within weeks).

But until those weeks go...it actually IS a good idea to make RG change the IP address like the XWIS tool does. That way everyone with RG wouldn't have problems, and we'd have more players on "XWIS WOL" then. At least, it would be a good idea to annouce it on RG's start page news...

*hoping XWIS takes over soon, it seems very fast from what I've gathered*

Yeah, as long as you don't like to actually connect, you don't need it.
