Renguard does'nt work with RenIP? [message #176493]

I have used RenIP to connect in the past even when running RG.The first time it screwed up my RG. I tried using RenIP again just the other day and it messed it up againg.

Now everytime I try to start RG.....

Load up Renegade IP as you normally would. Then, before you would usually click "Connect", come here and tell us what the text under "Server Port" is. For example, if I wanted to connect to my clan's sniping server, I'd select that from the saved list, click "Load", and then the line would be:

c:\westwood\renegade\game.exe +connect 67.18.253.100:9124 +netplayername "myname"

I know how to use RenIP just fine, Im no noob. The problem is every time I try to use it my RG gets messed up. Now I can't start RG at any time at all not from RenIP not from Gamespy not from the icon on my desktop.

I tried reinstalling everything and it did not work. I will try again.

I just unistalled everything. Restarted computer. Reinstalled. Still does not work.

Would there be a way of using renip with renguard? Cause it could solve my problem for being unable to play on gamespy...

Your missing MY point. When I used RenIP to point at game.exe(RG duh) after a few games I connected to with RenIP RG started giving me that error everytime it started up.

This has never happend before, only when using RenIP. Now I can not start RG at all. I can't use RG. Everytime RG starts I get that error.

I reinstalled everything twice and it still gives me that problem. If I give you the error report my computer written for microsoft would you be able to tell me why RG is getting that error?

Please BHS. Can you help me? I tried just ebout everything except reformating.

I uninstalled the game and RG. I deleted some things from the registy then cleaned the registry with a program. I Restarted computer. Nothing. This is pathetic. Help me ffs.

It works fine for me,Ive never had any problems with Renguard and Ren-IP.

However if you have the Hacktool.rootkit. problem, then it may be the bug that is preventing you from playing.

-Sigh- I have said it a million times. I do not have the hacktool.rootkit problem. I was one of the 1st to solve the problem for myself with Norton 2004.

This is a NEW problem. Now I can not run RG. All because RenIP messed it up. I have used RenIP before but it has never messsed up RG that bad. The last time I was using RenIP it made it so RG only show white in the window unless I maximized the RG window.

Now I start using RenIP again. Now this happens. RG does not want to work any more. I Uninstalled RG. Uninstalled Renegade. Removed my renegade folder. Cleaned my registry with 3 different programs. Then I manually searched the registry for certain strings to delete and deleted them. I restarted the computer. Reinstalled Renegade(No skins/mods/cd cracks) Installed RG. And RG still doesn't want to work.

Please if you can help me BHS help me please. RG always used to work for me.

Also I was wondering if it was possible I got banned but that can't be because it would say I got banned wouldn't it?

Please check if I am banned. Also come up with a few suggestions for me.

Also look at the attached file. I don't know if it will help but it was written for an error report.

I just wan't to get back on RG.

Is there an older version of RG I can download and then update? It could possibly work.

Does RG work when you start it directly without using RenIP?

Also, why would you think you're banned? Have you done anything that would make you think we would ban you?

Renguard does not start at all. I removed RenIP after it caused the problem. Then I reinstalled RG several times. I reinstalled the game a few times. I cleaned my registry a couple times. All until I uninstalled Renguard, Renegade, Deleted the Renegade folder, cleaned my registry with PC Repair, Registry Fixer 4.0 and Registry Mechanic. Then I reinstalled windows. Still did not work.

No somebody else asked me if I could possibly be banned(your not the only guys I came too for help), so I asked you. I didn't do anything to get banned.

I am going to cry ffs.

Is there an older version of RG I could try? Since it would not be the same exact thing, maybe the computer won't reconize it and strike that error becuase I think something external is the problem. I don't realy know wtf I am talking about but it could work.

If your still using Norton then that probably has something to do with it.

Try a different antivirus. Your solution to the Hacktool.Rootkit problem may not have actually worked.

Are you sure you didn't do anything to be banned? Based on your screen shots, it looks like you downloaded a RenGuard bypass. It's been known to do really bad things to people's PCs. I would do a LOT of virus scanning right away if that's the case. Who knows WHAT that thing did to you.

Note that this is not confirmed information, just stuff I've heard through the grapevine.

I beg to differ... does "gamee.exe" ring a bell? Searching your name on RenGuard logs brings up a long line of cheating attempts, even back to June 29, 2005 when you tried to use an objects.ddb hack on the UNRULES New Maps server.
