What are the symptoms? I have alittle medical know-how, so I might be able to tell what you've got.

I think mine is just sinus problems. Well, short of wanting to puke 90% of the time, and feeling bad the other 10%. I took some medicine that really helped. Cleared my nasal passages, I didn't want to puke as often, and I fell asleep for about five and a half hours.

The concept of going backward in time was hypothosised by the proposal of traveling faster than the speed of light. However, due to the laws of particle phisics, when an atom accelarates past the speed of light, its mass energy increases to that of the size of the universe. One atom can take up the entire Universe. With that said, it has also been discovered that the Universe at one point was much smaller than today, so small infact that it was smaller than the size of a single atom.

Wow, i love Physics, glad i took it at A level.

Also this makes me think about traveling further through time. Would it mean that you have to go in some way, slower than time itself?

Isn't it that you can't travel at the speed of light, but you can travel faster than the speed of light? At c your mass becomes infinite, and you would need an infinite amount of energy to move. But this is not true when you exceed the speed of light.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, it's been well over a year since I've been in physics...

But to go faster than the speed of light you must go the speed of light. You can't jump from 0 to faster than the speed of light instantly. Therefore, it'd be impossible.

I'd go back in time and Crucify Jesus.

Just kidding. I'd go back in time an hour and have that meal again. Getting hungry.

Or maybe to before I'd read all the books I've read now, so I can read them all for the first time.

Yea I changed my mind on what I said, without the nazi's or some of hitlers hencemen/technician there wouldn't have been none space travel, maybe non atomic bomb. If he wouldn't have existed ofcourse there's so many people that have died. But war increases the speed of technolegy being introduced and produced.
Just saying if that would of hapend history would have changed so fucking drasticly. I just said it because of ra1 Big Ups

Really, I'm happy the way it is now there's certain times in my life I dislike and would want to scrap. But im still young and I have experienced many thing's and I've seen alot of things people of my age normally wouldn't.

I go back to about that time too. I would see JPNOD as he's about to kill Hitler, kill him, and become good friends with Hitler. Then, I would make sure he doesn't declare war on the US. Smile Big Grin

Again, read what Clare and I had said. By doing that, you'd be erasing me, Clare, etc... from history.

I think it was the other way around. For some reason i think it had to do with them shooting down a Civy boat and killing like 30 people. I maybe way off on this, hell i might be thinking of a sponge bob episode or something.

Japan and Germany (along with Italy) signed a pact where they created the Axis powers. Once Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, we declared war on Japan, Germany declared war on us.

Edit: Oblivion, you're thinking of WWI and the Lusitania.

Yes, Pearl Harbor was the reason the USA entered the war.....

There is a conspiracy theory that the US government knew about it...and used it as a reason to enter WWII and that the fact all the aircraft carriers were well away from Pearl Harbor at the time (for "no apparent" reason) is part of the foundation for the theory.... Rocked Over

Yeah, I watched something on the History Channel about it. The Japanese broke radio silence, we got the transmissions, decoded them, but did nothing about it. The obvious reason for that would be that they wanted it to happen, so we could enter the war. Though, that's not known for sure.

If I could go back I would kill Hitler and Osama (to hell with Saddam) But if I went forward I would go to the year 2070 (I would be bout' 85) just to see what technology will be like before I die.

you really dont get what a paradox is do you?

If you killed Hitler, you yourself MAY NOT EXSIST today....yes some races and families were brought together because of WWII, but one thing that accompanied BOTH great wars was: A BABY BOOM...people rushed things and eloped because there was a fear that it would all be over tomorrow. So in killing Hitler YOU YOURSELF may not be created afterwards.

To better explain this: You create a time machine, go back in time and kill your own grandfather...so no parent to spawn you, so no you, so no time machine was made, so your grandfather didnt die, you were born, made the time machine, killed your grandfather, no parent, no you, no time machine....It goes on....that is a paradox!

If I got to do that, we'd all be speaking Russian now... Or at least all have a hammer and a sickle on our flags...

Nah, just kidding: communism was good (but executed incorrectly) but as usual it cannot lead to a great bunch of welfare so I think most people (including me) wouldn't have liked it so much.

The google-idea seems logical to me... Makes me think of that movie I once saw.
