There is no excuse for putting a bomb link in your signature. For those who are unaware, a bomb link is a URL that sends you to a page that consistently opens new windows usually with someone saying "HEY EVERYBODY I'M LOOKING AT GAY PORNO" really loud. Often times this can crash Windows, or even lock up your system. I've seen that link before and know exactly what it leads to.

The link in his signature is just as ban-worthy as Assprime exploiting the HTML code in the forum so that it would stretch out the pages and fuck up the post views.

Ban him permanently, please.

Aww, did ACK get tricked?

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." -- Theodore Roosevelt (1918)

"The danger to political dissent is acute where the Government attempts to act under so vague a concept as the power to protect "domestic security." Given the difficulty of defining the domestic security interest, the danger of abuse in acting to protect that interest becomes apparent. --U.S. Supreme Court decision (407 U.S. 297 (1972)

Why is there any excuse for all the crap you've linked to in n00bstories? All the goatse, all the other shit?

Double standard is the watchword here, folks.

If you want him banned for doing stuff like that, go hang yourself for the same crime.

There's a world of difference between Goatse links, which I haven't even seen on these forums (And we're only talking about these you retard), and bomb links which can do irreparable harm to someone's computer.

You're either really fucking stupid, or just really like exaggerating (as if it makes anyone believe you more, lol)

Opening 1 million windows in IE can not cause any sort of "irreparable harm" to your computer..

What do you think it's going to do, make your memory throw its hands in the air and give up?

I vote the former.

You're still double-standarding, ACK. Here or not, you're as guilty as he is of posting links that people find offensive.

My apologies - I wasn't aware that system lockups and crashes were conductive to a computer's ability to operate properly.

Offensive has nothing to do with opening millions of popups that can lock up your system and generally fuck up Windows.

Apparently you're not one of the people that had have to restore Windows, or even reformat their hard drives after a system lockup that damaged the computer.

Bomb sites can easily do this.

I've seen this kind of site over the past four years, it was rather prevalent in the RA2 days. It used to be http://www.iraq.com/bomb or something like that, and now it's this Valve knockoff site. It would get spammed in the official forum and several people would come forward saying it locked their system up, or even damaged Windows.

Why? It says do not click. It's your fault if you clicked it...

It didn't crash my computer.

Mine didn't crash either. All I did was disable the internet for a brief second, then did a close group. Smile

But, I don't want to hear your mindless bitching about how it fucked up your computer and the occasional "Reborn Sucks!"

Remember, it's j4s[p], not j4sp.

does it say somewhere on there in really small text that you are not responsible for any damages? Razz

When history witnesses a great change, Razgriz reveals itself,
First as a dark demon,
As a demon it uses its power to reign death upon the land;
and then it dies.

However, after a period of slumber, Razgriz returns.
This time as a great hero...

If you could read, I never said it damaged my system. I never implied that I ever opened the link, either. I've seen that link before and I know what it does. It would be in your best interests not to assume things to use as a sort of pseudo-argument.

Assprime was banned for less than this. I sincerely hope that you're next on the list.

Aww, did my little sign that has nothing to do with these forums hurt you? Aprime fucked with the whole forum.

Also, please ban this "j4sp" person, too. I'm j4s[p] so I'll be okay. Smile

Assuming this is accurate in what WAS there.... http://www.n00bstories.com/image.fetch.php?id=1392269224 , I only have one thing to say.

It specifically says NOT to click on the link, therefore it shouldn't pose a problem. This is sort of like blaming Aircraftkiller for starting fights by him having something in his posts that may entice someone to respond.

That being said though, I'm glad to see it removed, and I hope it stays removed.

Of course, The administration may feel different about the situation.

Putting a link in your sig and telling people not to click on it is only going to result in twice as many people clicking on it, and we all know that. That fact that it said not to is just an excuse not to get in trouple for it.

If he didn't want people to click on it, it wouldn't of been in his signature in the first place.

Hey, I never said it absolved him of anything, I just said what other event it was like, with the same responce occuring. Just because it's there doesn't mean it has to be acted upon.
