So how many vets do we have here, by vets I mean old school people from betas and the beginning of retail? Man I loved those days, the beta kicked ass.

What do most of you all play now? Still Ren or other games and just chatting it up here?

I've been around since the very beginning of the retail release of Renegade. I don't play it much anymore though. I mostly play World of Warcraft at the moment.

I stopped playing Renegade last year around the time Half Life 2 came out. I don't really play PC games anymore since I have too much to do during the day to worry about them, but that'll change when Battlefield 2 comes out.

I've been here since around summer/fall 2002, August I think (Renegade was released around February 2002.), I was on for a little while before I registered because for some reason Westwood didn't allow new registrations on the forums for some time, so someone lent me a spare account until I could register.

I bought the game less than a week after it's release. I don't really play many games anymore, but I did just install Half-Life 2 again today, since I've been too lazy to install it since my reformat.

I bought the game the day of release (Here in Canada that was mid to late (February 2002). I actually started playing 3 months earlier, playing the online multiplayer demo. So that would have made it sometime in December 2001. Been a long time.... Smile

Been playing Renegade since end of March/beginning of April 2002, but not very often since I had a (very) crap computer until this last December. Oooh how I wish I could have been as active back then as I am now.

I cant remember when exactly I got it, but I'm sure it was less than a month or two after It's release. I can remember seeing it in the store thinking "That looks cool, I'll buy it".

I played Renegade since the MP demo. It was the first game I saw that really seamlessly blended vehicluar combat and infantry combat. As you've probably figured, I got the game about 2 days after it came out. I played it a ton untill 2004 when other games started to pull me in. Now I mostly play Call of Duty, but I make time for a few games of Renegade a week.

I havent played since the beta, but I did play for a good 2 years until GuildWars came out. Since then Ive been the Leader of Two major GameSpy Clans, and In a top 10(9th place) WOL clan prior to playing GSA.

I see, msot of the people here are on the forums just to chat with people like I am. I am a bit curious though to pop in the dis again and play a little. Besides the core patch, what else do I need to get Renegade working now?

CS: S took my life, tied it to the ground then sat on me and said "I am now never leaving your side, EVER, and you will never get away from me"

Lol, yeah CS:S is pretty good I guess. At least Valve knows not to try any big changes on that, because they are bad at anything they try to fix or update.
