I was using Mandrake 10.1. I think it may just have been something to do with my drivers or w/e. I can't really switch to Linux though because of what I use my PC for.

I'm stuck on 1024x768 because my crappy 17" monitor will be blurry if I set it any higher. Plus, I can't have 75hz at any higher resolution than 1024x768.

I am using a plasma TV as my monitor so 1024x768 is the highest it can go, but it is plasma so it it is extremely high quality. I have a 19" monitor set up behind it, but I don't use it much anymore.
