Hi all

i did has got RG working fine since i did used 1.0 rg and after update till CP1.

today i did format my PC and now i did tryed to re install CP1.

i did run installation and it askem me for game.exe position. i give it and start install. it end complete installation, but when i open renegade it work but i don't see the pannel of RG where to lick "renegade"

i try play the game and during the game load it show me like if CP is working with all link and things on the right corner.

but when i'm ingame and write !rg mlai
it says i'm not using RG.

i have no skins or any mod and i still don't understand why the window of RG doesn't appear Question

i also edit my register and changed number from "1" to "0"

what is the problem i have got because i don't see window and cannot run RG???? Question

i look forward for the help and i'm sure all will be sorted Smile

p.s.= i w8 will this problem solve before install again FDS & brenbot.

You MUST make sure you have the below 2 files:

http://img232.exs.cx/img232/1478/scriptsdll1ez.jpg

Scripts2.dll = 1.99mb
Scripts.dll = 561kb

You can Delete Scriptsx.dll as it is not needed.

You can then have the full CP1 enjoyment! Smile

i have got both files mate

if i delete scriptsx.dll and try re install CP it does appear again with same error.

i think and i'm sure CP1 is installed into my PC only problem is that i have got just "game.exe" (and not game.exe and game2.exe like old rg)

so when i click for run renegade the game run and work fine, i also see the screen of CP1 but when i'm into server it says i have no rg.

also i don't see RG window when i run ren :oops:

EDIT: i have found that scripts2 is 1,99 and it's ok.
but scripts is of 561 kb Confused

Deleting scriptsx.dll will not solve anything, it can just be deleted as it is not needed...
the file will keep re-appearing everytime you install CP1 with that error.

But also, make sure the following files are as follows:
- game.exe - 353kb
- game2.exe - 4.20mb

Game.exe is RG
Whilst Game2.exe is Renegade itself.

If you don't have either one, I would recommend you ask one of your renegade buddies to send you one of the files over MSN or something.
Or just download RG again & re-install.

LordMlai and other people, if you're still confused do this to install cp1:

I had the same problem too but jw fixed it for me. To do that go to your ren folder and delete scripts.dll and rename scriptsx.dl to scripts.dll

It might work for you

If you installed roughly 99% of CP1 correctly, its possible some files are
missing. To correct this download the following:
http://www.fanmaps.net/downloads/renegade/CP1small.exe
Run it and follow instuctions.

In case you get an error that your Always2.dat is corrupted:
http://www.fanmaps.net/downloads/renegade/Always2.zip
Download this and extract it to your renegade/data directory overwriting
existing file.

note that these are not official.
These are the original files that come with CP1 though, im just providing this
for people who have had some minor problems with the installation.
IF you have the problems that is, when you follow the above the installation
*should* be fixed.
Last resort maybe to reinstall renegade entirely. Note also that the above is
only for English Renegade.

i did sorted it by just re-install renegade, install RG 1.03 and after update to CP1.

i did has got RG 1.03 on my web.
