I install renegade fine, but when i try to start it up, the splash screen comes up, goes away, and the game doesnt start.

try to uninstall it do not add any mods etc scan for viruses get patch make sure no other programs are running when you install/play
|

i had that problem when my data disc when scratched..
either try a no cd patch or start renegade with disc 1
from your disc drive.. NOT THE REN ICON - when it askes u to put in disc 2..
just hit cancel and it SHOULD take u into the game..
thats my guess...............
