Heh, that's about the only new thing about turning 18 besides, well, you're now fully responsible for your own actions, you can go to strip clubs without bars (eh?) and you can smoke. And now my place of employment can force me to work past 10pm on a school night.

I will never use alcohol or smoke.
EDIT: Does anyone know someone anti-smoking and anti-alcohol sites? I want to get our local high school to add some links of those to their school page.

I have smoked once, Drank twice.
Didnt really care for it, just the fact that he would submit it to a school website. I see the conclusions to those kids on Unsolved Mysteries all the time.

I've never smoked never will. I had asthma problems when I was 12 and that scared the shit out of me. Obviously I wasn't smoking back then, but if I had been, and my asthma problems kicked in, I would have been much much worse.
I've drunk vodka, beer, rum all the regular stuff before. I'm sure most of you have. But I'll never let it develop into a habit of mine.

Thats very true. You can't buy them from the shop if you are underage, but its easy as hell to get your hands on cigarettes. If you wanted to smoke you could have easily done it.

Haha,
I'll be 16 on Feb 15. I think there's a few other guys that have birthdays thereabouts too.
I've drank, but never smoked, been straightedge since probably around 2 years ago. I'll never smoke, but I'll probably drink a bit after college and all that nonesense. That is, unless boisterousness does me in.
If this ends up gettin kicked into Politics Forum anyhow, I'd like to know some of the reasons why those of you smoke/drink, and those of you don't smoke or drink.

I'm really not to pro-smoking as I don't think many are but. I dunno I don't think a tador of a drink every once in a while are so bad. People always take it to excess but if you can trust yourself to have self-control you'll be fine around alchohol.

Alcohol isn't near as bad, as you just said, but you never know if I could become one of those people who take it to excess. Just to make the best of myself, it's my choice to not touch anything such as drugs/smoking/alcohol.

You may think that now but dont count on it. It was fun to go see rated R movies when your underage but when its finally legal you wont even care. Ive only seen 2 R movies since i turned 17....
