One of the few things I agree with Aircraftkiller on...

Opera is much better. At first it seems a little weird, but once you customize it to just the way you like it, there is no comparison.

Props to Firefox for being free though Very Happy

Yeah, but i don't like the ads.

It's a single advertisement banner that you can customize to show exactly what you want to see. It's not going to throw up advertisements on gardening unless you want it to. It will even fetch advertisements based on what you view, so if for example you visited cncden.com, it would advertise things based on Command & Conquer or other RTS games.

Considering it's easy to get past Opera's advertisement banner, which is barely noticable I'd say Opera is the best of the two. Especially considering it works incredibly fast upon installation, and doesn't require you to change variables in order to achieve this.

1) It is a movie.

2) That's not the matrix. If you haven't seen the matrix then don't assume it is.

Opera displays many standard compliant websites poorly. Firefox follows the CSS2.0 standards. The difference in speed is hardly noticeable (i couldnt tell the difference after the tweak on FF). However, I have to give props to Opera for having a cooler GUI. The extra space in the toolbar just drives me crazy... i want optimum viewing space for websites.

The tweak for Firefox seems to work for most people. It wouldn't always work. Mainly it depends on the speed of your connection/how much you use your connection and/or the speed of your computer to allow pipelining.

Whenever I'm making a layout and implementing the code, if there are any problems, Opera is the first to get it right. Firefox is usually pretty good, and IE is awful. If you customize the layout of Opera, and get a nice skin you like (and crack it to get rid of the ads), you'll never be able to go back to anything else. Very Happy

Try Opera! The power of Christ compels you!

Firefox and Opera are both fine programs. Internet Explorer's the only one that sucks.

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." -- Theodore Roosevelt (1918)

"The danger to political dissent is acute where the Government attempts to act under so vague a concept as the power to protect "domestic security." Given the difficulty of defining the domestic security interest, the danger of abuse in acting to protect that interest becomes apparent. --U.S. Supreme Court decision (407 U.S. 297 (1972)

FireFuck sucks. Often times it has large problems displaying many forums and websites properly, even if it follows the new CSS version. I have only run into about four websites that did not display correctly in Opera, and all of them were designed horribly, so it wouldn't matter to begin with.

How many websites have you run into with Firefox that were not displayed correctly?

Aicraftkiller, you do not need to ridicule what you do not use or like, please, this thread is for people that want FireFox to run faster, not hear you moan and groan about how badly Opera beats FireFox (I still maintain that firefox is better), so if you don't like it, go fuck yourself.

No. Seriously. No.

I am a testimonial against that. I found a nice skin and removed the ads, and yet, I still didn't like it as much as FireFox.
