No such thing as unlimited bandwidth, its unmetered!

My website, which is a mere 3kb uses about 50 megs a month on the index page, weird - http://www.killersmurfs.net - popular domain it would seem Smile

Then again i used about 3gigs a month in random linking and files - but i dont pay, so im not bothered.

Also i would pay monthly, not yearly, if you dont like the service, your kinda up shit's creek!

In the end it doesn't matter if you are who you say you are. You will still mean nothing to me.

When i have kids, everytime i drive past a fast food restaurant, im gonna punch my kid in the face, then they'll never wanna come..

My server uses around 5GB a day. But that's including game servers, etc. My site uses around 15GB a month alone.

That only averages about 150GB a month. Our dedi has 1000GB. Oh, and I think you guys can all laugh at this: DarkDemin was insisting that a CS:S server would use MORE than 1000GB in a month.

When I got ADSL some 1,5 year ago we got 10GB/month, which I found to be just not enough. Then a few months later my ISP decided to demonstrate the concept of "overkill" and made the limit 100GB. I did some calculation and when I use my connection's full capacity 24/7 I can use just over 50GB per month Very Happy

For renegade server you could run a server with 60 people,(or two 30 person) full 24/7 and still use under 1000gb/month. Renegade uses about 60 kilobits/sec/player. (so says westwood in the fds)
Everything is rounded for the sake of not using a calculator.

60k * 60 players = 3.6MB per second
3.6MB * 60sec = 216MB per minute
216MB * 60min = 1.3GB per hour
1.3GB * 24 hours = 31.2GB per day
31.2GB * 30 days = 936GB per month

Traffic Period: 0.83 Months
Traffic allowed per month: 1500.00 GBs
Traffic allowed for this period: 1500.00 GBs
Traffic used per month (avg): 260.23 GBs
Traffic used this period: 215.99 GBs

Don't think so Wink

That's with 4 CS 1.6 servers (4 x 24), a CSSource server (1 x 40) and then IRC, Websites etc etc..

Still leaves me with ~1.3TB to toy with Smile

Yeah... there's no way in Hell that Digital Depiction is going to come near our bandwidth limit. We still need to put up our Teamspeak server.

I didn't make it:

http://www.bizzarscripts.net/ It uses a user made template. I wanted to use it, but found a much simpler one. Though I forgot where I got it from.
