My high school education was far superior to the public school system, and my school was at least 90% conservative, if not 100%.

No shit Sherlock, I was unfortunate enough to live in a Kerry State, and let me ask you who do you think got the better education, me in Grandville Michigan whom got just about all the amenities a highschool will ever need, or some intercity run down school (thank the moron Govenor Granholm kiddies) in Detroit of which cant even carry out a simple Baking soda lab and whose football team cant even keep the MANDATORY 2.0 or higher to stay on the team. Detroit Schools (just about the only place in Michigan who voted Kerry.) tried this year to get the requirement lowered to .8 for GPA to be able to play, if that is the case all you would have to do is breath to get by in those schools.

"Throwing out" data that takes into account the entire nation is a lot more useful than individual cases, ass hat.

I say, "As a general trend, states with lower SAT participation voted Bush."
You say, "Well, this one school where I live was awful, and that state voted Kerry."

Your "rebuttle" is just a single example that doesn't really refute a national trend. Maybe you should take your own advice.

SEAL, you want know why Michigan voted Democratic? Detroit area where the population is a bunch of black people working under the UAW. Uneducated African-Americans who can't think for themselves that have been blindly voting Democratic for the past 70+ years.

SEAL, your trivial, irrelevant attempt at proving the intellectual superiority of liberals over conservatives is completely unfounded on any factual data whatsoever and contributes absolutely nothing to the topic about which this thread was created.

Stop acting like you're better than the rest of us.

Unfounded? I told you how I came about it. Seems like your reason for it being unfounded is rather unfounded itself. You just state it as is without any substantial sources or reasoning.

Sure there are plenty of exceptions. But is the entire trend explained by hundreds and hundreds of individual reasons and excuses?

You haven't shown us your data about "how you came about it." You just tell us to go to collegeboard.com, do steps 1, 2, and 3, and that proves liberals are smarter than conservatives.

The burden of proof lies with you, so present your own data to us; don't just tell us to go do A, B, and C and that proves we're wrong and you're right because no one is going to do it.

You also just admitted that you're trying to prove that liberals are intellectually superior to conservatives, a notion so completely ridiculous that you cannot be taken seriously by anyone with an IQ higher than that of a brick.

You, sir, are a tool.

Now, stop hijacking the thread with your self-serving attempt to prove you're better than all the conservatives here.

You are a complete moron. The Detroit Schools are the ones that i said Sucked, not the school i attended, the school i attended was great. (let me say this slow now for you) D E T R O I T, the same place that won Kerry Michigan. Also, HOW CAN IT BE NATIONAL TREND IF THE NATION VOTED FOR BUSH, take another look at the map dumbass, most counties in the Kerry states ARE RED, meaning your little poll means nothing. Also, ever hear of something called the ACT? Well, Universities in Michigan care more about the ACT than the SAT with the exception of the University of Michigan. That means only the smartest kids in Michigan take the SATs, that also means that LESS people in the Detroit area took them because guess what? THEIR SCHOOLS SUCK Very Happy , so most of your SAT scores your seeing came from Red counties in the Kerry states, not the blue crappy intercity schools.

So i ask you again, if you are gonna rebuttle to this: KNOW HOW, dont give me some Vague numbers that dont actually give me Kerry's voters educational values but the educational values of the State as a whole.

Again, stop giving specific examples, or outliers if you will, to refute a correlation that is much larger and part of a bigger picture.

Yeah...only the smarter people take the ACT...

SEAL

Yeah...only the smarter people take the ACT...

Do you even read my posts?

And do you know what an outlier is? its used in Statistics to show uncommon trends outside the 1st Quartile, Median, and 3rd Quartile or to describe someone who lives far from their occupation.

once again, intercity schools score lower on Tests, its common knowledge, why is that an outlier? Im just saying your wrong because you are.

SEAL

Again, stop giving specific examples

Im sorry, is my being too specific to logical for liberals? I'll try and dumb it down next time.

It's used to show abnormalities within a trend/correlation. Your definition makes no sense.

Hmm. Maybe before you try and call me dumb, you ought to check your own spelling/grammar. It just makes you look like an idiot.

Of course there are going to be plenty of exceptions. That's why it's a general trend.

I tried, but after you called my evidence a "poll" and you rambled off some other nonesense, I just gave up.

You all realize that talking about "how stupid <insert political idealogy is" when you don't really want to argue shows how stupid most of you are?

You're living proof of why this country is the way it is. Try finding common ground before you bash the hell out of each other with your Internet words... You just might realize you want the same things, and that you can work to achieve your goals.

Unfortunatly, it's a pdf, and I went through it manually. If you want to consider the argument won because you won't check it yourself, then consider it won.

Keep in mind however, that I never called anyone here dumb. Is it not true that the Republican party has a way of attracting low income Midwestern families? I think I've gotten the impression that many people here believe that low income is synonymous with low education, thus the correlation.

You're the one throwing around "trends" and "correlations" here, yet you refuse to actually present the data you used to arrive at your conclusion and continue to say, "I've done my research, you're just too lazy to check it out for yourself."

You haven't even given us a link to this pdf file you say you used. You just tell us to go on collegeboard.com and do our own research in an attempt to prove you right.
Do you honestly expect any of us to try to do that?
That's no way to convince anyone that your argument has any value whatsoever.

Either provide evidence to support your argument or concede.

Now, would someone please remind me of what the original subject of this thread was before it was hijacked?

It's used to show abnormalities within a trend/correlation. Your definition makes no sense.

Can someone tell me what the difference in these two definitions are? Maybe its my bad Midwestern Education that makes me think that they are EXACTLY THE SAME.

um.....I never thought u meant that low-income midwestern families are incorporated with low-education. and also your second definition for outlier is the same as mine substituting abnormalities and uncommon. Way to save your ass by trying to make me feel wrong when in actuality you are copying my definitions lol. Dont copy my definitions after calling them wrong, it just makes YOU look like an idiot.

Also, your frequent feuds with other liberals and the topic labeled "Eat my ass SuperFlyingEngi" labels your little quote as nothing but hypocracy. Wow. No.

Outlier = 1(one) data point. They do NOT show uncommon TRENDS. They show random abnormalities WITHIN a TREND. If you can't figure out the difference, I feel really sorry for you.
