Help!! I loaded new core file and everthing seemed to go fine ...now when Istart game it says "Scripts2.dll not found" any ideas?

Look in your renegade\data dir and move "scripts2.dll" into your renegade dir. That should fix it!

Also, do you have any errors WHILE installing the patch? It should detect that.. it would open a small console window, and print exact error details there, and will attempt to fix it.

I would like that output!

If there is no scripts2.dll in your data dir, you can download it here:

Put that into your ren dir

Thanks Mac,
No It did'nt detect any errors when installing, But when I first loaded game I used Renip to start game it started scanning my files then the patch wouldnt load it would start to then disappear. So then I used the launcher from UNrules and that loaded the patch with no errors.I kept looking on these forums for help and found something on reloading patch by going in with regedit and deleting patch...did that, then restarted the patch through unrules game loader and this time it said i was missing the "Scripts" file so I downloaded that then extracted it to the renegade folder and now it works Hopes this makes sense and thanks for the quick response

I think this problem occcurs by users, which have never installesd custom scripts before.
The installer should check this and if a problem with scripts persist, downlaod the latest sripts/the orginal westwood scripts if needed.
