Great...the Taliban try to stop the election, kill some police and civilians...the election ends up falling apart and who gets blamed...the UN. Also it sounds like no matter that masses are voting of their own free will, they still imply that we are forcing it or forcing them to vote for the US backed president:

Islamic poet Abdul Latif Padran, another minor candidate, said, "Today was a very black day. Today was the occupation of Afghanistan by America through elections."

The situation is so friggin complicated in Afghanistan right now...There's a book about it I should read, but I haven't yet. Mainly because it's one of those books by really smart people, and is quite boring.

Thus, I won't be getting into this.

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." -- Theodore Roosevelt (1918)

"The danger to political dissent is acute where the Government attempts to act under so vague a concept as the power to protect "domestic security." Given the difficulty of defining the domestic security interest, the danger of abuse in acting to protect that interest becomes apparent. --U.S. Supreme Court decision (407 U.S. 297 (1972)

It is a shining example of Bush's words... people swarming the polls and waiting in long lines to demonstrate their democracy. 15 insurgents died but none of our troops or other nations alongside us. I hope the whole ink problem works itself out. I don't think it's such a stretch that we'd like someone faithful to America in office there... someone who wants to keep democracy and be a contributing part of the world.

I'm the bawss.

That's desert camouflage not forest camouflage, you may notice they are in a desert not a forest Razz . The orange tip is a dust cover for the rifle, as grains of sand can seriously fuck up a rifle’s firing mechanism (See Gallipolis assault in WWII)

I know, but why orange?

You'd think it would be a different color. It looks like a toy gun with that on.

Besides,if they were taught how to take care of their rifle they wouldn't need the cap.

To make it obvious that it is on there so it won't be forgotten to remove it. Firing a weapon with the barrel obstructed can cause it to backfire or explode.
