My server used to run 24/7 with no problems, but now every once in awhile it will crash, and kick everyone out and start up again.....

thats funny because the same thing happend to some of the other servers i was playing as well... i get kicked, and then do a server refresh and the server shut down... and then when i refresh in like 1 min, the servers back... lolx Laughing

Yep, this also happening to all the FanMaps servers recently.
Some n00b is probably responsible for it. This guy joined the server a few times as well and there is no doubt in my mind he or she has something to do with the recent crashing of the FDS's.

They used to run fine for a long time. Now they seem to crash at least 2 or 3 times a day. They just quit to desktop and dont restart at all or they do restart and get 'Failed to create channel" for over a freaking hour.
Its very annoying.

I hate n00bs.

I dont see whats funny about that really. We spend alot of money on these servers to provide people a (hopefully) nice place to play at, and some scriptkiddies and n00bs think its funny to crash their servers. Its just 1337-gay.

hmmm i dont know if i get that guy in mine or not, but i know its crashing for no reason, its not like the server to do that. And i hope there is a cure for it...

ya ive been having this problem with my server for about a week now and ive tried almost everything to stop the shutdowns. the only guess i have is that some n00b that was banned from some servers for cheating has decided to get back at the servers by overloading them with packets causing them to shut down. if i can find the exact reason or the ip of a person doing this i will post it as for all other servers having this problem can ip block that user so he cant attack the servers as easily. im also getting my server changed to a diff ip and diff server comp as to maby bypass the bot that is sending the packets to set ip's. if this works ill post as such.

Can everyone whose servers are crashing please report who their server host is? msgtpain and I were talking and we have a very sketchy theory that all the crashes are happening on servermatrix hosts.

Well guys and girls, seem like there is a lot of this going on,and yes its driving us all crazy.I just hope its not just one guy doing this,because if it is we should all just give him a blanket party and beat the hell out of him ..lol .just a shame we probley will never know who is doing it that is if its not west wood just trying to get rid of Renegdade. we all know they hate to suport it since the game is fairly old and maybe they are just trying to make room for new games Mad

well my host isnt servermatrix its sparkgameservers... but im starting to see a trend with the bots at the moment... i also have BR and my servers dying... plz report your bot as to figure out if maby this is the problem. i doubt it but theorys can sometimes be true.

Yes, our servers have been "losing connection to WOL", and are all hosted by SM. It mostly happens in the early morning hours for us, but we've seen it happen during prime time and the late hours.

There has been a patch for this for over a freaking century, where the hell have you been?
I have uploaded these fixes to the fanmaps website, so i can 'quickly' give it to people i know who have troubles with the server or cant remember the 'original link' to download it:

BHS FDS Patch
Alkaline's Server.dat UDP Fix
Scripts 1.9.1
Vloktboky SSAOW
SQLite Manager (BRenBot.dat editor)

These are the ORIGINAL files including source code and readmes if there were any. Again: Its hard to remember all the links to the official downloadlocations , that is the only reason i uploaded them to fanmaps.net
Until i get permission from the makers of these files to host them on a public base i will not link them directly on the FanMaps website and only use this as a 'quick reference' for friends and to give people a place where they can download it. Rather than having to spend a freaking hour looking for the official downloadpages.

I have tried running my server with brenbot and br .net and they both crash like this. I have had both server patches installed a long time. I host my own server on a windows box. I hope somebody comes up with something! ahhhhhh It's crazy! Mad
