I'd agree with you, but then again you were a pain in the arse even in 2007 when I was actually on the staff, and the staff was actually good.

Crimson, Kozar, Jarhead, luv2pb, and andr3w were all active in 2007, so categorizing the staff then as good is a bit of a stretch.

Crimson, Kozar, Jarhead, luv2pb, and andr3w were all active in 2007, so categorizing the staff then as good is a bit of a stretch.

Crimson barely did ANYTHING in 2007, Kozar was sporadcially active, but we cleaned up pretty quick after him
First thing I did when I became a mod was make a thread in mod forums about how Jarhead was !forcerg'ing the living shit out of everyone who killed him more than once, and was sending people threatening PMs and shit. Everybody unanimously agreed, except Jarhead of course who said "I was just stirring up shit for the hell of it."
After that he toned it down a bit too, that is until I left and a bunch of other mods went with me after Crimson let people at n00bparty delete enemy vehicles with modtools and gave known cheaters mod powers and shit like that. After that Jarhead reverted to his natural self and started muting me and kicking me whenever for really no reason at all. When he gave me a 24 hr kick because he didnt like the name I was using, and gave a 24hr kick to my mate who I was playing with who complained about it, I made a complaint thread on the forums which he instantly deleted. After that he banned me lol. Talk about holding a grudge.
luv2pb was sort of alright back then. He had a thing with Kytten and kept giving her admin powers and shit, which didn't make either of them loved. Then he bought a plane ticket to the UK to go bang her and she cancelled at the last minute, then fucked off from the community pretending to have cancer. After that he also didnt interfere much and just let us do our jobs, until n00bparty lol.
Andr3w was actually a great guy. He made a fuckload of modtools and scripts for IRC that made moderating a breeze, automatically highlighting your name that came up in any of the servers in a PM and stuff. He hated cheaters with a passion and went off quite strongly against them.

I started playing Renegade in Spring 2006 and had stopped playing initially by Fall 2007 (before resuming it now), and while Crimson wasn't frequently ingame, she was still involved in the administration of the server. To be honest, I don't remember you, so if you want to refresh my memory go ahead.
I had many issues with Kozar, and while his hilariously inappropriate moderating decisions were usually corrected, the fact that he was allowed to keep his authority is indictment enough of the server ownership at this time. Nepotism really shouldn't override competence, at least not if you want to pretend that your server is a good place to play Renegade. (Aside from the nepotism, this applies equally to Jarhead; it's laughable that he's maintained any position of power.)
I know that andr3w's has contributed much to the Renegade community, but he wasn't a very good moderator. He was always a huge dick to me for no real reason. (I also believe the same applies to luv2pb; I hadn't heard anything about the Kytten thing, but it sounds like that didn't affect how how he treated people on the server.)
Finally, I hadn't even intended to bring up the "exodus" from n00bstories (which I've learned included most of the good mods like mrhero and phazon.) I didn't think that or the lessons contained therein needed to be revisited.

lol, I don't remember joejjj80 being such a mean lady back in the day, but when I was a mod there, he was only ever a temp, so that's obviously why. It's always interesting what power will do
