I'm sorry but sand & gobi should not be in the update core patch imo, they are some of the most boring maps... Ack's RiverRaidTS & MetroTS are much better.

FieldTS, unless elevators are going to be removed should not be added because of the evelvator ion/nuke glitch, (once you place a nuke/ion inside the elevator, its next to impossible to disarm that thing) not to mention this map uses more SFPS then regular maps. Also the nod buggy glitch, wher the buggy can go into the tunnels needs to be fixed.

Core updates sound good, but I think maps like High_Noon_2.1 or Tib_Pit_3, Terrace, Ruins0x would be great, but this ofcoruse would depend on what the authors have to say, I don't think Titan would have a problem though.

Any way, seeing as how ack is a part of BHS, the first map pack should consist of his maps:

BunkersTS, MetroTS, GlaceirTS, BasinTS, RiverRaidTS
5 top class maps in my opnion.
FieldTS,MinesTS,GolfCourse are good too but the elevator nuke glitch ruins every thing :/

I think it would be best for all people to download the maps, just like a ww update.

It'd be best if they weren't in an update, think about people that have a limited amount of disk space left, say the update takes up more than that. I only have 7MB free on 1 of my comps & 1 of my friends has just a 7GB drive which has barely more than 100MB free.
I also like to allow my comps to have at least 15% free on all but the 1 with 4GB disk space, but I guess my opinion doesn't really matter to everyone, so why do I bother Crying or Very Sad

But you have to understand concessions can't really be made for people with really old PCs/hard drives. Hard drives the size you're talking about are even less than baby size. I had a 20Gb drive and that was back in 2000. Hard drives these days are actually pretty cheap when you think about it. An 80 gig here in europe is less than 50 quid.

Also, if you only have 7Mb free you must be running into problems all the time. Hard drives are supposed to have about 1 gigabyte free (although there is 1 gigabyte your computer never uses, to keep the drive running as optimally as it can) but maybe the case is different for smaller drives.

Bah, the only reason my 1 comp has 7MB free is cuz it was used for a graphics design class...my sis' files don't really help that much either, seeing as she likes to save all her pics in .bmp form & not .jpg or .png
I only really run a ventrilo server off of it anyway...so ya Wink
Also, I only have 2 mod maps on any of my comps, & that's only on my laptop (this comp), if I see another new map pop up outta nowhere, then it can say hello to my McAfee Shredder for me

Ruins0x is being considered. The author has agreed to fix the map for the patch. Titan has already given his permission to include his maps. All that's left is perfecting the method of delivery. Smile

I'm the bawss.

In addition to the core patch, I think somewhere on the renguard client there should be a simple, but visible link "DOWNLOAD MORE MAPS HERE..." or something like that and it should link you renmaps.com or some other site with fan maps.
