The C4 fix is included, and moving the repair beams is not hard to do server-side.

Besides, the map downloader is the winner here. I'm not personally a fan of GlacierTS, but something like that could just be DL'd.

FYI, the glitch with the repair pad repair arcs (where they appeared in the middle of the map) and the C4 (where it appeared in the middle of the map stuck to the repair pad repair arcs) are both fixed in 4.0

The odd thing is that the c4 isn't appearing at 0,0,0 at all times, its still in the middle of the map, but sometimes it is (the most I've seen) 10 each axis from the center. What causes that exactly.

The C4 is "attached" to the middle with a certain attach offset. Say you attach it to the side of a mammy, it would be quite a bit off the center of the mammy and it would have the same offset from the 0,0,0 spot. At least that's what I think is happening.

I don't suppose anyone knows if the frame drop occurs when your looking a certain direction, or something like that? Or perhaps standing in a certain spot?

It happens anywhere, looking in any direction, at all times. My FPS never goes above 10 on Glacier Flying, yet on all other maps it's a solid 60 (due to vsync limiting it) all the time. It seems to be completely random which computers get the absolutely crap FPS and which have no problems at all, although there must be *something* different between them that causes it.

EDIT: Aircraftkiller, I don't suppose you have, and are willing to give to someone to work on, the original .lvl file for the version of Glacier Flying that's in 1.037? This has probably been asked and answered before, but just in case...

My FPS is fine on glacier 2/3 games. The other game it goes from 50 to 2,30,1,50,2 etc etc. It freezes up. It's done this on at least 3-4 computers I've owned. It's quite simply random

I find FPS drops more likely to occur if I drive into something with an orca/apache. Also vech-to-vech collisions can set it off, rejoining the game tends to help, and it can also happen if I witness two vechs collide without being involved. Sad The GDI side bridge with the neutral cannon emplacement is where I've experienced the worst of it.

Renguard is a wonderful initiative

I'm playing on a low end pc yet get a solid 50FPS?

people with 8800's get bad FPS drops... I'm left he lol'ing. Very Happy

Presence is a curious thing, if you think you need to prove it... you probably never had it in the first place.

People with far more powerful video cards still would be getting bad FPS drops because Renegade is very CPU-dependant. My 9800GT sits waiting for the CPU about 95% of time for each frame.

Why not use GlacierTS as the new release and just add Air Units on that.
