This is based on you having Microsoft Internet Explorer. Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Multimedia (List) > Play Animations In Web Pages (check the box) this should solve your problem. May need to restart your browser though or press F5.

I use Internet Explorer on my windows machine and Mozilla on my Red Hat Linux machine. There quite similar, mozilla having the ad blocker built in, but it lacks some shortcuts of IE and doesn't support my 5 mouse buttons without using another app.

I use MyIE2 with Ad hunter and zonealarm pro w/ web filtering. I have never had a pop-up in my life. Google toolbar just pissed me off when I tried it.

Ah great, that's sorted my problem thanks. I can't understand why that option would be turned off, i don't recall doing it myself...
