The whole point of going to a live concert may be to see the person actually perform the songs... however that is not what people actually go to concerts for.

They go there just to SEE the performer live. That is what they pay for, that is what they get.

i go to concerts because they are a completely different entity, compared to the CD. its definetly not 50$ worth to see some guy.

You need to understand how the 'masses' think. Your not going to see some guy... your going to see THE guy.

the bad side is that it sounds exactly like the CD versions... which would make concerts obselete

That's a good point. People that I have talked to, who have gone to pop-concerts expect a sound that's exactly like the CD, with few variations.

I think it has to do with the fact that a pop-artist, at least today's pop-artist, can't get creative with their genre. It's not like they can crank out a ten-minute guitar solo in the middle of a song, or let the bassist and drummer go insane. Hell, because their music is so packaged, they literally have no creative control, because they are often just karaoke-ing their own song.

Disney has been churning out poppy-princesses for a long while, and it's just become more manufactured, and mass-produced. The last 'pop' artist to have any shred of talent was Madonna, because she can at least sing. Even the quote-unquote "punk bands" of today are in on it too, because the attention span of kiddies these days is just so f*cking short.
