So let me get this straight, you said earlier that the media cannot air things that may provoke a negative reaction correct? So you are saying that the media can't air things that make the government look bad and can't say things that may be truthful? The media has the right to say whatever they want.

But of course you only want to hear the happy stuff in your life, I guess that means you live in some kind of Utopia. Whats That

The reason why we have so many media channels and stations is cause we have so many sources and each source (such as CNN, foxnews, etc.) has there own look on it. Meaning it may not be "wrong" or "incorrect" information that they report. So you can't really watch and listen to the news and expect it to be totally correct, because that would make you naive. In order to get the clear picture of any situation you have to watch more than one new channel and when doing so you have to take it with a grain of salt. Or else you will just be walking around scared and hiding in your house all day crying because of the sad and cold world that is sitting outside.
