This is not about us downloading the maps...everyone here probably has most if not all of those maps in these polls. The thing is most of those who just play Renegade and DON'T visit these forums or bother to download new maps just might have Renguard and download CPs when they come. So then they'd have the maps and the servers with non-westwood maps might also have some players in them.
The best solution I can think of (besides this CP one, which is quite good) is to somehow make Renegade download the map in game. So it'd download the next map when it's about to start. That way everyone would *have* every map that's played. Don't know if it's possible to do that though.
