This is the latest weapon completed for Renegade: A New Hope. It is the Blastech D-44 Pistol, the same weapon used by Han Solo in the Starwars trilogy. It will be the basic pistol for all characters, meaning that everyone has one, regardless of what their specialty is. We may make another pistol for the Imperial infantry, so that the Rebels and Imperials have different pistols, but for now this is it for everyone. The model was by Havoc89, making it his one model contribution to our mod, and the texture was by Prometheus.

It looks ok, just missing detail, mainly on that silver thing in front, that round thing on top, and that thing in front of the trigger.

Oh, and the grip is way too light, it should be a lot darker, about the same color as the rest of the gun.

Yeah. Prometheus decided to use the handle that appears on this blaster - http://home.insightbb.com/~ferguson188/images/han.jpg - simply because he was afraid it would look like metal. He hadn't completely finished his metallic detailing when I made him take the pictures, just because I was anxious to show it off Razz .

Since you mention it.... when Lucas and his team assembled the weapons and costumes for the original Starwars, back in the 70's, this particular weapon was just a modified German WWII pistol, the Luger, built up with some random stuff slapped on the sides. http://www.littlegun.be/arme%20allemande/luger%20cal%2030%20krieghoff-1.jpg I think we can all see the correlation.

Prometheus added more detail to the main part, fixed up the muzzle, and made the handle darker. Looks a lot better, doesn't it?
