Im sooo jealous, you are the best ever - i mean look at the colors the design i think im in love with your image 
-oh, and just so you know i didnt use a tutorial on that (since i have used a tutorial and made it into a background before.)

first of all...I am part of a web/graphics design "team" more or less cause we're technically not a company (not that it matters). i am a web designer. i create the layouts, and up until a week ago, I couldn't produce a graphic worth squat. now that i am starting to produce work worthy of being called a graphic, i am starting to become a graphics designer as well. for the majority, i am gonna stick with web design.
z, i never said that you were worthy of being judged. i am just sick and tired of people judging my work when i am basically just a web designer. if you wanna judge me, judge my layouts. forget about the graphics and look at the usability, the overall design of the site. true, i never pointed out that i'm a web designer mostly, but i would think that knowing i had only been workin in ps for a week, people would not choose to look down their noses at me. i suck at ps, i think i am getting better. i never expected anyone to go WOAH...AWESOME when they saw my work. you probably don't expect that from anyone as well.

Good Lord, if you don't want to be judged than don't post. This is obviously a topic made for people to show off their work, so if you don't think others should have the oppertunity, than don't fucking post the thing.
No one cares how long you've been using PS. Don't ride it as an excuse, come on. It is just a number, it has jack squat to do with the topic. I know what you'll reply with. "Of course it has everything to do with it!" Well if you think that you can't produce good work because of your time using photoshop, than why are you even posting at all? Was that the excuse you had for it incase someone said it was bad or sucked as you say it(which no one said by the way).
And what in the hell is this about you saying your high school education isn't as important as your photshop work? Funny...you've been doing this for a week now and it's taken over your life. Physics and English, let's see you actually get somewhere in life with F's or 5's or whatever in those subjects, as well as any other subjects. You think you can live off a pirated graphics program? Everyone wants to be a designer or a graphics artist so they don't have to do anything? Your education can further everything in your life. Let's see you get a professional graphics job with a failing high school student education. Real cute kids, real cute.
I respect you shiz, but frankly you have acted like quite a fool.

hell no ps isn't more important than my school work. i'm just saying that when i don't care about something, i don't do it. so therefore, everything that i do, i care about. i don't plan on failing out of high school. i am and have been planning to go to college and major in business. i want to own my own company, possibly something related to computers. I have no clue what i truly want to do, but that's what i have been leaning towards. i agree that education is important and it's gonna take u farther than any amount of experience with graphics and computers. i respect those who can make a good living off of computers, but i don't expect myself to be that way.
it did sound like i was tryin to ride my experience, but it was to let people know why i am not in the running for best graphic designer. i am using this thread for showing off. i have been showing off what i've learned so far...i just have gotten the feeling that people are looking down their noses at me because i can't produce what they can.
i don't mind being judged, but when i'm being ranked against people, it makes me feel uncomfortable because it makes me feel like people are trying to show that i am lower than others. i could care less that i am, but i really don't feel the need to have it pointed out to me.
this all sounds like i'm trying to complain, but i truly am not. sorry if it has sounded like i am.
