So, will the be direct connect (renip, rr, renlist, etc.) after TT is released?

Also, will cheaters be dealt with in the same fashion as now? Just banned by the server? Or do you guys have any plans?

It is possible to block direct connect now if you wanted to.

Given the state of renegade as it is now I cant understand why you would block anyone from connecting by any of those forms.

Yes you could say it would stop some cheaters by stopping direct connect but at the end of the day its not like moderators do much now anyway, so it would give them something to do.

And I can't remember exactly, but I think I remember someone saying that it was going to go back to XWIS. Which, I'd prefer the direct connect as it is much easier.

TT always said they wouldn't try to ban cheaters but to stop cheats from working.

All cheaters ive seen go through DC have been banned and came back with an obvious DC name and were banned again proving they are to stupid to spend time on a name to get back in. so the stupid ones which is most of them are not that big a deal
