I think if you mean to unban someone from a game you typr in the F8 console /allow <nickname> without the arrows.

I don't know much about the issue, but I've seen it happen that servers will have errors where people will be banned who weren't actually banned. It happened to me on my own clan's server; I logged in and allowed myself back in, but no dice. According to the server manager, he encountered a runtime error and had to reboot the server to put things straight. Does that sound familiar to anyone? It would be nice to avoid errors like this one...
